1. CONNECT HEADPHONES TO YOUR DEVICE đ§đ±
We highly recommend connecting headphones to your device while playing with the app. It'll stop your mic from picking up the background music from the app and will help the app to be even more accurate when listening to those notes. đȘ
This is because the app relies on your device's microphone to detect notes, and connecting headphones to the keyboard may mute the sound externally, leaving nothing for the app to detect.
Additionally, avoid using Bluetooth headphones as they can introduce latency, which may affect note recognition. Wired headphones are recommended for the best experience.
2. USE MIDI TO CONNECT YOUR KEYBOARD AND DEVICE
If you are using a keyboard, using a MIDI connection will give you perfect note recognition. đ MIDI provides a direct connection from your keyboard to your device. While MIDI use is not necessary, it'll solve any issues with note recognition, particularly when you get to playing more advanced music.
MIDI is also particularly useful for silent practice, as it bypasses the need for the app to rely on the microphone when headphones are connected to the keyboard. To set up MIDI, you'll need the following equipment:
A MIDI-capable keyboard
A MIDI-to-USB or USB-MIDI cable
An OTG/USB adapter compatible with your device
