⚠️ Make sure you've already checked our Step 1 guide on understanding which MIDI input your keyboard has.

All you need is to connect a cable and adapter to your keyboard and phone/tablet, and you're all set 🌟

Equipment

Before getting started, make sure to get a USB-B to Lightning Cable or a USB Cable and a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter. Here's where you can find them:

OR

*We recommend using an Apple adapter for the best results. However, if you'd like to play silently with wired headphones, you'll need an adapter that also includes an audio jack - here is an example.

Steps

  1. Connect your keyboard to the USB cable (type B MALE SIDE)

  2. Connect the USB Cable (TYPE A MALE USB side) to the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.

  3. Last, connect the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter to your iOS Device. Make sure to do this before starting a level or a song.

That's it! πŸŽ‰ Simply Piano will immediately recognize a MIDI connection and you will see a notification showing that the MIDI connection is good to go. Time to break out the tunes! πŸͺ©
