How do XP and rewards work? (Kids profiles)

Kids' profiles (for learners aged 4–10) include a fun rewards system that celebrates progress as they learn to play 🎉.

Heads up: XP and rewards are currently available on iOS only.

As your child completes lessons and plays songs, they'll earn XP (experience points), level up, and unlock exciting musical rewards along the way. Every lesson completed is another step forward, and the rewards are there to celebrate your child's growing musical skills.

Children earn XP by:

🎹 Completing lessons and courses
🎵 Playing songs from the Song Library

Before your child starts a song, they'll see exactly how many XP it's worth.

Each new level brings a new surprise! As your child progresses, they'll unlock fun musical rewards to explore and play with.

Here are a couple of the rewards your child might unlock as they continue learning:

🔥 Tempo Rush: Challenge yourself by playing a song at faster and faster speeds, all the way up to 200%.

🎶 Song Mix: Play a fun medley that combines several songs into one performance.

When a new reward is unlocked, your child will see a celebration screen inviting them to claim it.

At any time, you can view your child's progress by tapping the XP progress bar in the top-right corner of the Songs screen.

From there, you'll be able to:

Some rewards require skills that are taught later in the learning journey.

If your child unlocks a reward before they've reached the necessary lessons, they'll see a message letting them know they need to continue progressing through the courses first.

Once they've learned those skills, the reward will be ready to enjoy - something to look forward to as they keep progressing!
