How do streaks work in Simply Piano?

Streaks help you stay motivated and build a consistent practice habit 🎹

Keeping your streak going

To keep your streak active, complete at least one practice session each week.

Your streak starts when you complete your first practice session and is tracked in weekly cycles based on that start date.

You can view your current streak in the app by tapping the 🔥 flame icon.


What are streak freezes? ❄️

Streak freezes help protect your progress if you miss a week of practice.

  • You start with 2 streak freezes

  • You'll earn an additional freeze for every 5 consecutive weeks you keep your streak going 🎉

  • If you miss a week and have a freeze available, it will be used automatically


Why did I lose my streak?

If you miss a week and don't have any streak freezes available, your streak will reset. If you believe your streak reset by mistake:

  1. Make sure you're using the latest version of the app

  2. Fully close and reopen the app before practicing

  3. Check that your device software is up to date

Why am I getting streak-related emails even though I've been practicing?

Streak reminder emails are friendly nudges to help you stay on track, and receiving one doesn't necessarily mean your streak is at risk 😊

If you're receiving emails saying your streak is at risk, or emails saying your streak has been saved even though you've been practicing regularly, the app may not be syncing your latest practice activity correctly.

Try fully closing and reopening the app before your next practice session. This helps refresh the connection and ensures your activity is recorded correctly.

If your streak looks correct in the app, your progress is likely still being tracked.


Why was a streak freeze used even though I practiced?

If a streak freeze was used during a week when you practiced, that's not expected, and we'd like to take a closer look.

Before reaching out, try fully closing and reopening the app to make sure your practice sessions are syncing correctly.

If streak freezes continue to be used on weeks when you're actively practicing, contact our Support team, and we'll look into it for you 💜
