Thinking about trying Simply Draw? Here's everything you need to know before you start, so there are no surprises along the way. π¨
Who gets a free trial?
A 7-day free trial is included with the yearly subscription plan. A few things to know:
The trial is only available on the yearly plan, it is not included with the monthly plan.
Free trials are one per account or Apple ID. If you've already used a trial, your next subscription will start as a paid plan immediately.
If you're a returning learner, you may be eligible for another free trial via the Simply website.
π‘ Already a Simply subscriber? If you have a Family Plan through Simply Piano or Simply Guitar, Simply Draw is already included - no separate subscription needed! Check out this article for setup steps.
What's included in the trial?
During your 7-day trial, you get full access to everything in the app:
5 fully guided drawing paths
Advanced drawing skills and techniques
Your personal drawing journal
The Playground: our ever-growing library of draw-along videos
After the trial ends, your subscription continues automatically so you can keep access without interruption.
When will I be charged?
Your trial starts the moment you subscribe to the yearly plan. Here's what the timeline looks like:
Day 1: Trial begins. You may see a small temporary charge from Apple or Google Play, but this is just a payment method verification, not a real charge, and it disappears automatically.
Days 1β7: Full access to Simply Draw at no cost.
Day 7 (or before): Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
After 7 days:Β If you haven't canceled, your yearly subscription starts, and you'll be billed the full annual amount.
β οΈ Important: Uninstalling or deleting the app does not cancel your trial. You must cancel through your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, or contact us if you signed up on the website.
How do I cancel before I'm charged?
Cancel at least 24 hours before your trial ends to make sure you're not billed. Follow the same steps as canceling a subscription - they vary by platform:
π iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings β tap your name β Subscriptions β Simply Draw β Cancel Subscription
π€ Android: Open the Google Play Store β tap your profile β Payments & subscriptions β Subscriptions β Simply Draw β Cancel subscription
π³ Credit Card or PayPal purchases: Reach out to us in the app or by emailing draw@hellosimply.com, and we'll get that taken care of for you.
Once canceled, you'll keep full access until the trial period ends, and you won't be charged.
My trial isn't showing up. What should I do?
If you can't see a free trial option, here are the most common reasons:
You selected the monthly plan. The 7-day trial is only available on the yearly plan. Go back to the subscription screen and select the yearly option to see the trial.
You've already used a free trial. Trials are one per account or Apple ID. If you've had one before, the yearly plan will start as a paid subscription immediately.
Your account or Apple ID is linked to a previous trial. Even if you create a new account, if the same Apple ID or Google Play account was used before, you won't be eligible for another trial.
If none of the above applies and you still can't see a trial, contact us and we'll take a look at your account.
Charged unexpectedly during or after your trial?
If you were charged when you didn't expect to be, check out our article on charges during your free trial, which covers the most common reasons and how to request a refund.
