Simply Piano and Piano Maestro are both piano-learning apps that guide learners from foundational skills to piano fluency, but they are designed for different learning environments.

Designed for piano teachers and their students

Works on iPhone, iPad, and Android

Includes step-by-step instruction throughout the entire learning journey

Includes tutorials in early chapters, but most advanced content requires teacher guidance

Individual subscriptions and Family plans (up to 5 profiles) available. Includes access to Piano Maestro Premium Home.

Teachers can manage unlimited student profiles under their account

Accounts are not managed by a teacher

Teachers can assign challenges and track student progress


Which app should I use?

Choose Simply Piano if:

  • You’re learning on your own

  • You want guided instruction throughout the app

  • You’re using an iPhone or Android device

  • You’d like a Family plan with up to 5 profiles

Choose Piano Maestro if:

  • You’re a piano teacher managing students

  • You’re a student learning with a teacher who uses Piano Maestro

  • You’re using an iPad


Important

  • A Simply Piano subscription includes access to Piano Maestro Premium Home (parent/student access).

  • It does not include teacher Studio plans.

  • A Piano Maestro subscription does not include access to Simply Piano.

  • Learner profiles sync across both apps when you have access to both.
