Add, Delete, or Reset a Profile

Profiles are the perfect way to personalize the journey for you and each of your family members. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Each of you can create a profile to progress at your own pace. You can even play at the same time on different devices and your progress will be saved, no problem! 💾

Adding profiles

To add a profile:

  1. Tap Menu > Manage > Add Profile

  2. Add your name, age, and choose your avatar

Now every family member is all set to learn guitar, saving their progress in our courses and playing the songs you love! If you encounter issues with subscription transfers or other account features, force close and reopen the app to refresh profile updates.

Note: If you are on an Individual Plan, you will still be able to create additional basic profiles, but you'll need to be on a Family Plan for full access to 5 premium profiles. To upgrade, head to Menu > Get Family Plan and follow the steps to switch.

Additionally, if you're on an Individual Plan, you can transfer premium access to a different profile if needed. Just reach out to our team in the app or via email, and we'll transfer the access for you!


Deleting Profiles

To delete a profile:

  1. Tap Menu > Manage > Edit

  2. Select the profile you'd like to delete and press Delete on the bottom right corner

  3. Confirm that you want to delete this profile by typing “DELETE” and clicking submit.

If you have an individual plan and want to transfer the premium access to a different profile, don't delete the profile by yourself. Instead, just reach out to our team in the app or via email, we'll be happy to transter the access for you!

⚠️ ‼️ When a profile is deleted from your account, we cannot restore it. If you have this profile in our other apps Simply Piano, Simply Sing or Simply Draw, it will also be deleted there, along with your progress in those other apps.

💡 Deleted a profile by accident? While we can’t recover the original progress, we may be able to recreate some of your course progress in a new profile. Reach out to us and we’ll do our best to help!


Reset Your Progress

If you're looking for a fresh start, go ahead and create a new profile by going to Menu > Manage > Add a Profile. You can also delete the original profile that has your progress if you'd like.

If you have an individual plan, we're happy to help set your new profile as the one with premium access. Just reach out to our team in the app or via email.
