The app is divided into three spaces - Playground, Learn, and Journal - each designed to support you on your creative journey.
🎡 Playground
The Playground is all about freedom and fun. Here, you’ll find a growing library of draw-along videos. The Playground is available to all subscribers and will unlock after you draw your first subject in one of our drawing paths.
This is also where you can practice all the skills you've picked up in our drawing paths; just grab your pencil, follow along, and enjoy the process. New subjects are always being added, so the Playground is forever evolving, giving you endless ways to practice. ✏️
🎨 Learn
After the Intro course, you’ll choose your first drawing path: Animals, Anime, Characters, Cute Objects, and Nature. Each path is full of lessons that build up your skills step by step.
Here’s how it works:
Learn a skill – short video tutorials guided by professional artists and teachers, breaking drawing into simple, easy-to-follow steps.
Practice with a subject – put your new skill into action by drawing a fun character, object, or scene.
Repeat and grow – you’ll get extra practice drawings to help make the skill stick!
Every course follows this rhythm, so you always know what’s coming next.
Subscribers can also switch paths at any time by tapping the 'switch path' button (top right).
Each learning path will teach you fresh new skills, with plenty of new subjects to explore! 🌿 🐼 🧑🎨
📔 Journal – Your Personal Gallery
The Journal is where all your drawings come together. After finishing a drawing, Simply Draw invites you to snap a photo and save it. The Journal unlocks in our Intro course, after drawing your first subject (a fish!).
Over time, your Journal becomes your own creative gallery - a place to see how far you’ve come, celebrate your progress, and relive your favorite drawings. 💫
